BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
For over 28 years this Machine Shop has been serving the aerospace industry with an outstanding quality record and numerous achievement awards. They have dealt with a variety of customers including Hughes, TRW, Boeing, Phillips, Litton, Raytheon, Boeing Satellite Systems, and others. The current location keeps them in close contact with a variety of process plants, such as heat treating, plating, anodizing, and dry film lube. These contacts are vital to assure quality and schedule needs. They have number of options for their CAD/CAM needs. Their newest software is I-deas 8. They pride themselves in their CNC milling capabilities. They currently have 2 Cincinnati Arrow 500 CNC Mills and 1 Brother TC-22a CNC Mill/Drill/Tapping Center and 2 Kitamura MyCenterZero with Sparkchanger Mills. Also included is a Mori Seiki Frontier CNC lathe for their turning needs. Their journeyman machinist are skilled to the highest level and can hold any tolerance, cutting materials from plastic to titanium. Today';s machine shop is not complete with out EDM capabilities. The EZ- Spark sinker EDM and Brother Wire EDM are very simple to use, but have the capabilities of machines costing five times the cost of them. For molds, wave guides, small intricate features, or blanking out parts EDM can be the most efficient process. One of the keys to being able to produce high precision components, is the ability to accurately inspect the parts. They have invested a lot of time and money selecting and purchasing the inspection equipment (Mitutoyo Quick Scope QS 200Z, Mitutoyo Bright 507 CMM) to ensure compliance with the buyers specs. After many years of working primarily on piece parts, they have evolved and now include assembly of their, or customer furnished, piece parts to an upper assembly level. All of the assembly work is done in a controlled clean room. The clean room is carefully monitored to control the customers specifications for temperature and humidity. Lab coats and latex gloves are required to ensure the area is free of dirt and dust. For more information, please contact Steve Gross at 562-248-0300.
